Introducing: The TCC Development Team.
« on: September 08, 2008, 09:31:29 PM »
The TCC Development Team

The new TCC Development team is being formed!

The purpose of the TCC Development team is to develop Free (closed-source as well as open-source) applications for distribution. Providing the developers with a new way to learn as well as promoting TCC at the same time!

Currently we are planning on making C# apps, but this has not been decided completely yet, so it may change, depending on the developers.

How to join?
You can join the TCC Development team by first requesting the development group from your control panel, when requesting your group application, please specify past projects that you may have been in, your most proficient language,Other languages that you are very good in, etc.

Next, if we decide you qualify, you will be given an 'assignment' - this will be to write a small sample program, which the current developers will decide. We will decide if you are eligible to become a dev by the coding standards in your code. We are looking for good commenting, indenting, styling, proper methods, etc.

If you pass the assignment program, the current developers will have the final decision (by vote).

Why do I have to do this assignment, ect?
We need to know that you will be dedicated to the development team, are knowledgeable in the required aspects of programming, and have the knowledge needed to help write these programs.
If you do not pass the assignment, but show us that you are willing to try again, we will show you your errors and help you get it correct!

What kind of projects will the TCC development Team be doing?
The TCC-DT will be creating free applications that wil prove useful to the user. The applications will all have an "ad" to TCC. The Developer Team will decide what applications we will create, etc.

I'm not very good at programming, but I want to help out with the development!
If you cannot program very well, or do not know the language we are working with, you can join as a document writer, writing help files, documentation, etc. We need all the help we can get, so if you have good writing skills, you can help that way! (note: if becoming a documentation helper, please specify that when requesting the dev group!). Also, simply spreading the word of TCC, the development Team, and it's application will be a great help, although it will not get you a Dev badge, you might be recognized in the credits of distributed applications!

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or post them here!
Thank you!

Admin Notice Due to lack of interested members and inactivity, the TCC Development team has been closed. When there is more interest and more active members with a common language who would like to form a development team, we well restart the team.

Thank you!

I am OK at C#. I'm not brilliant, but I've created like, web browsers, and word processors, and I am planning on creating a password generator. I am also planning in making a Multitool thing, a program with lots of smaller programs contained within it.
