Poll: Hardware or Software?
« on: September 05, 2010, 07:56:20 PM »
Okay, we haven't had a poll in a while so here goes!

TCC is open to both those working in the IT field and the Software Dev/programming field. When we say "IT Field" we mean everything from Computer Building/Repair/upgrading to Electronics, from Helpdesk-like work to OS re-installation/cleaning/etc.

So what topic of interest are you most active in?

(You can pick two if you think your equally active in two fields)

:)

Of course the vast majority of my time is spent programming, but I do spend time building/rebuilding computers (mainly my own, I swear I'm addicted to upgrading my computer lol)

I checked the first two (IT Support and Web Development), I do spend a lot of time on both! ;)

BTW, nice pic Psycho! :P

I mainly spend my time writing programs or web design, but I do like to upgrade my computer. The only problem is that I want to upgrade everytime I see something new and "cool". I just don't have the money to upgrade everything I want, when I want.

I selected IT Support and Hardware - since I get involved in both.

@gbertoli: Yeah, I also hate the "I just bought this new thing, but now another new thing just came out, thus making this thing outdated already..." routine that seems to occour every time I get a new gadget! :P

Get used to that @gbertoli and @RLondon, especially when it comes to computers and computer parts. Once you buy something it's outdated, and I dont think will ever stop (I know unfortunate)

I checked IT support and Software dev. I am working towards doing programming professionally, so I do write code often. Part of my current job is being a Client support administrator, so basically IT support. I do like working with hardware, but only about once or twice a year as I upgrade my PCs.
